Mid Summer Reflection

I've been back in Canada for over a month now, and its got to the point where everything here is just about normal. I have finally sorted through all my mail.

It seems everyone I know either now has a career, kid, husband/wife, house or a combination of these things. So needless to say there has been a lot of catching up to do, and still is to be done.

I've been giving er on the ulty, playing in 3 tourneys in 4 weeks including Potlatch, one of the biggest co-ed tourney's in the world. There I played with the 101 Damn Asians, a team of folks past and presently living in Asia. That was on Canada day weekend.

The following weekend I returned to Peg city and went to the awesome Winnipeg Folk Festival. This is by far the coolest thing Winnipeg has to offer. All the musicians were spot on and the campground was one massive drumming party. Good people. Good times.

The 3rd week in July I went to Minneapolis and played in another frisbee tourney there. Alongside that I got to visit with Brett and Jenny, a couple that left Korea about a year ago. We hit all the hot spots; the Mall of America, Fort Snelling (yeah that's hot; history hot), the front gate of Valleyfair (looked like it was going to rain), Mystic Lake Casino (backup plan for Valleyfair though it never rained), and even a drag show.

This past weekend involved me mostly being sick which leads me to where I am right now. All the other time in between has been catching up with peeps and taking it easy.

What's next? This is the question I get asked most. The answer: I still don't know, but I can say it's starting to stress me out for the first time in as long as I can remember... Time will tell. I head to BC next week to reunite with my old crew at Shambhala, a huge festival in the mountains of BC. I'm stoked for that, and then I'll figure my life out...
