The RE fundraiser

So it all kicked off last weekend. What an awesome success! We started early, 6 pm. That was a result of my naeivity and forgetting that the last one had tons of people there at that time because it was Coop's Bachelor Party.

So the 'Korean Idol' Karaoke contest that was scheduled from 6-8 went from 9-10:30.
People started really getting into and we had to cut them off. People began pouring in and were anxious to see the real musicians.

And the real musicians put on an amazing show, every one was top notch and played to the crowd's pleasing aural and body rocking receptors.

A huge thanks to the bands who played for free. Even though none of you read this, I'm thanking you here again anyways.

More thank you's to Amanda and Georgia for working the door, Yong and Paigey for buying the prizes. Though Paigey doesn't need a Thank You because she won the top prize of an Ipod Shuffle!

Congrats also to CG for pulling in both the third and second place prizes of Jelly Bellies and a bottle of Jiegermeister.

Looks rigged, I know, but I didn't pick any of the lucky winners' numbers.

Also, big-ups to Nero (formerly known as Zero) for raising over 100 000 won ($105) for eating not one, but two peanut butter - and kimchi sandwiches.


Of course, big thanks to everyone who came. Again, the majority of them will likely never read this, but its important I mention it anyways.

So after all that, its time to announce the big grand total. Insert drum roll and feet stomping here. Goddamit just play along at home and do it. I can't hear you.... louder....LOUDER.........

1 832 000 won! Or, 1950 USD!

That beat the first time's total by over 800 USD!!!!!!!!!

And guess what? It's IN THE BANK. No thief is getting it this time.

Rainbow House will be stoked. That's enough for them to function for about 4 months:)
